Advisor Media is a division of Hawkins Media LLC, originally formed in 1968. Launched as Database Advisor in 1983, Advisor Media has been responsible for dozens of publication titles, decades of live seminars, conferences and trade shows in North American, Europe and Asia, and a variety of products. Advisor Media has partnered with leading companies including Apple, Borland International, CA, FileMaker, Fox Software, IBM, Lotus Development, Microsoft, Novell, Sybase, and more, to provide “expert advice and know-how” in print, online, and via live events.
As one of Advisor Media’s technical partners, Mr. MacNeill:
- authored over 100 articles in FoxPro Advisor magazine from 1997, covering a wide array of technologies
- acted as the Technical Editor for over 30 articles from other authors since 2004
- assisted in organization and preparation of technical materials for Advisor conferences across North AmericaTechnologies Used: Visual FoxPro, MapPoint, Microsoft Office Automation, Visio, various ActiveX controls, COM development/SOAP web services
