AKSEL signs contract with Health Canada for system upgrade
November 28th, 2007 - Ottawa - AKSEL has signed a contract with the Health Canada Library in Ottawa to upgrade their Inter-library Loan System. The project involves upgrading a system that has been in place for several years, originally designed in Foxbase. The system manages the library’s loan management system where books, articles and journals are loaned from major libraries and companies across the country. Using Visual FoxPro 9, AKSEL will enhance the system with an updated interface as well as several improvements, including an updated Internet facility to accommodate the availability of online journals.
